United Hayek Medical the world leader in biphasic cuirass ventilation (BCV) introduces medical workshops to increase the understanding and utilization of this form of ventilation. Our mission is to provide a real non-invasive alternative to positive pressure ventilation, which will improve the quality of life for patients around the world and offer respiratory solutions where there have been none. BCV has been a proven extremely effective for a wide variety of patient groups like neuromuscular, COPD, cystic fibrosis, ARDS, and TTN. There have been over 100 publications supporting the use of BCV existing to date.United Hayek Medical’s BCV Workshops will help you learn about the many advantages of using BCV ventilation, while giving you hands on experience in ventilating with this non-invasive technology The BCV Workshops will feature the Hayek RTX ventilators and explore the use of its four main modes: Continuous Negative Pressure Ventilation (CNEP), Biphasic Cuirass Ventilation (BCV), External Chest Wall Oscillation (ECWO),and External Cough Assist Each workshop will also review the use of BCV in conjunction with Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV)fora tool in weaning, to increase right ventricular function and venous return, and aid in the expansion of areas of collapsed areas of the lung. BCV setting guidelines will be reviewed for the following causes of respiratory failure:

Normal Lung

  • Neuromuscular conditions
  • Ventilation During Anesthesia
  • Ventilation Post Cardiac Surgery
  • Ventilation During ENT Surgery
  • Head Injuries
  • Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN)

Restrictive

  • COPD Emphysema
  • Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
  • Cardiogenic Pulmonary Edema
  • Bronchiolitis”
